Story
What we're seeing in Gaza is breaking our hearts. I keep sharing posts and updates on social media, but it doesn't feel enough. So when Ellie asked if I wanted to do something to raise money AND awareness, I jumped at the idea.
But what to do? If you know me, you’ll know I’m not a morning person. So when I say I’m going to wake up every morning in August at 6am and force myself out for a 45min walk, you’ll understand this is a real challenge for me. But sometimes we have to step out of our comfort zones to make a difference.
I’m doing this to raise money for Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP), who work tirelessly to provide life-saving medical care and support. Right now, their work is more vital than ever - the horrific injuries we have seen Palestinian children endure as a result of the Israelis is profoundly saddening. And now, coupled with malnutrition and starvation, the situation is simply beyond belief.
So, with every early alarm, every bleary-eyed step, and every rainy morning, I'll be showing solidarity and trying to do something tangible to help.
Your support — whether it’s £1 or £100 — will make a real difference. Please consider sponsoring me, sharing my page, and helping me turn these early morning walks into meaningful change.
Together, we can help MAP continue their incredible work and bring hope to those who need it most.
Thank you 💙
Sam
