A group of us are taking part in the Twilight walk to raise funds for St Luke’s (Cheshire) Hospice - a small hospice with a big heart ❤️
Raych and Ally’s amazing Mum was diagnosed a little over 2 years ago with secondary breast cancer - an initially devastating diagnosis! However her motto is “I have cancer but cancer doesn’t have me”. Hospices help make a difference to people’s quality of life, supporting Mum with her mission to live rather than exist.
Sam’s wonderful mum was cared for by St Luke’s Hospice after she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011. She bravely faced “it” head on and lived to her absolute fullest until 2015 when she sadly passed away. St Luke’s not only cared for Mum, but provided some much needed support for the family during and after. Absolutely invaluable in every way!
Since 1988, St Luke’s has been providing palliative care to local people, supporting them in ways which go beyond the scope and funding of the NHS. Last year we supported over 1,000 local people with a huge range of support from end of life care on our ward to supporting carers, and from helping children cope with grief to helping patients return to work after an illness.
We are a charity and provide all our care for free, so we rely on the generosity and commitment of our supporters to raise more than 80% of our costs.
Charities pay a small fee for our service. Learn more about fees
