Story
Nan was such a huge part of my childhood and growing up as an adult. We spent many lovely times together, devastatingly she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s shortly after my Gramps passed away, 10 years ago.
Whilst living at home, Crossroads offered their support to our family which was invaluable, it was a lifeline, to us all. Sadly, Nan passed on the 13th of August 2022. She was such a huge part of my life; I miss her dearly.
So, in memory and honour of my dear Nan, I am raising money for Crossroads Care Kent. I have set myself an ultimate challenge of running various different runs around the UK.
I can hear her say… ‘it makes me tired just thinking about running those miles!’
I am very proud to work for Crossroads Care Kent. Sadly, so many of our families are caring for those with Dementia and Alzheimer’s. I see how much destruction and sadness this disease causes. Your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate 50p or £500. Every little bit helps. Thank you in advance for your support. I have included information about Crossroads Care Kent below.
Crossroads Care Kent exists to provide high-quality respite for carers in Kent, in order to relieve the stresses of caring. In carrying this out we will ensure that the highest standards of quality assurance and equal opportunities are adhered to.
