Story
I’m raising money for something incredibly close to my heart.
Our close family friends, Lola and Mikey, experienced the unimaginable loss of their beautiful baby girl, Delilah — their first baby. There are no words that can truly capture the heartbreak of losing a child.
Delilah was so deeply loved from the very beginning, and although her time here was far too short, she will always be a part of Lola and Mikey’s lives, and ours too. In her memory, I want to do something that can help other families who are going through this same kind of loss with support from Lola and Mikey.
On the 19th April, I’ll be taking on a triathlon to raise money in Delilah’s honour. Every step, stroke, and mile will be for her, and for families like Lola and Mikey who are facing this kind of heartbreak.
The money raised will go towards supporting parents who have lost their babies — helping provide vital care, counselling, and support so that no one has to face this grief alone.
If you’re able to donate, even a small amount, it would mean so much. And if not, sharing this would really help spread awareness.
Thank you for helping us honour our angel in the sky, Delilah was born sleeping due to the condition CDH and I have shared a link to Delilah’s story that Lola has so bravely shared with the CDH magazine.
