Story
I’ve realised that since smashing my foot while rock climbing, I’ve been struggling — not only to stay motivated with my physiotherapy, but also to find the courage to get back out there again.
As many of you know, movement is a huge part of my life. The past nine months, following five fractures and the reconstruction of two ligaments, have been incredibly challenging. I’ve lost a lot of fitness and still live with ongoing pain in my foot, making both the physical and mental recovery tough.
That’s why this challenge means so much to me.
I’m part of a team with my cousin Ben, taking on **Race the Sun: Lake District Off-Road** in aid of the children’s charity **Action Medical Research**. In June, we’ll be setting off at sunrise to bike, hike, and paddle our way around a demanding course — racing the sun to finish before it sets.
I’m racing in support of Action Medical Research, who for over 70 years have funded vital research to help defeat the diseases that devastate the lives of sick and disabled babies, children, and young people.
By supporting our team, you’ll be helping to reduce premature birth, support children facing a lifetime of challenges caused by disabilities, and develop cutting-edge therapies for rare and incurable diseases.
Thank you so much for your support — it truly means the world.
