Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge for Dartmoor’s Young Explorers
In just one week, I’ll be taking on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge – a 24-mile trek across Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough. It’s a tough day of walking, climbing, and pushing myself, but I’m doing it for a cause that really matters to me.
I’m raising money for the Dartmoor Preservation Association, who support the fantastic “Moor Boots” initiative. This project helps young people get out onto the moors by providing the right equipment – something many simply can’t afford.
Access to nature shouldn’t depend on what you can afford. The moors offer space to breathe, explore, and build confidence – but without proper gear, many young people miss out. “Moor Boots” breaks down those financial barriers, making sure more young people can experience Dartmoor safely and comfortably.
That’s why I’m putting myself through this challenge. Every step I take over those peaks is to help someone else take their first steps out on the moor.
If you’re able to support me, any donation – big or small – will make a real difference. And if you can’t donate, sharing this page would mean just as much.
Thank you so much for your support – it really does keep me going, especially when the climbs get tough!
Let’s help more young people get out and explore the moors. 🌿Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
