On October 7th, I'll be doing my annual sleep-out - sleeping rough on the streets of Gloucester to raise awareness for Gloucester City Mission and to mark World Homeless Day (October 10th). It's a small sacrifice for a significant cause.

There remains far too much stigma around being homeless and stereotyping; many people who are homeless have fallen on hard times and have been unable to get the support they needed; many are not visible as they are sofa surfing and still going to work and trying to regain normality.

Homeless does not mean Hopeless. Everyone deserves an opportunity to move forward.
