🏃♀️ I’m taking on the Love Luton RunFest 10K for Keech Hospice 💜
I’m taking part in the Love Luton RunFest 10K to raise money for Keech Hospice, a charity that means so much to me — both professionally and personally.
I’m a Specialist Palliative Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist at Keech Hospice, and every day I see the incredible difference Keech makes to adults and children living with life-limiting conditions, as well as the families who are beside them. I see first-hand the compassion, care and support that our patients and families receive, and how much the hospice means to our local community.
But this challenge is also a very personal one for me.
Over the last 8 months, I’ve worked hard to lose 7 stone, making changes to improve my own health, wellbeing and future — not only for myself, but for my children too. And now I’m taking on something I genuinely never imagined I would do…
I’m going to run 10K. 🏃♀️
I have never been a runner, and getting to this point has pushed me far outside my comfort zone. There have been difficult days, aching legs, doubts and plenty of moments where I’ve questioned what on earth I’m doing! 😂 But committing to this challenge means so much to me.
Every training run is a reminder of how far I’ve come, and knowing that I’m doing it for Keech, our patients and their families, and the incredible staff I’m lucky enough to work alongside gives me an extra reason to keep putting one foot in front of the other.
Keech provides vital care and support when people need it most. Every donation, no matter how big or small, helps Keech continue this incredible work and makes a real difference to local families.
If you’re able to sponsor me, I would be incredibly grateful. ❤️
Thank you for supporting me, supporting Keech, and keeping me motivated every step of the way. This 10K is going to mean so much more than just crossing a finish line. 💜🏃♀️
