3 Peaks Challenge · 25 June 2026

The number of people diagnosed with cancer is growing, we're doing whatever it takes to help more people with cancer get the best care the UK has to offer, whoever and wherever they are. To donate, volunteer, raise money or campaign with us, call 0300 1000 200 or visit macmillan.org.uk

Story

On 25th June 2026, the four of us will be taking on the National 3 Peaks Challenge — climbing the highest mountain in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike) and Wales (Snowdon) within 24 hours.

That’s around 23 miles of walking, over 3,000 metres of ascent, very little sleep, very sore legs… and a lot of questionable decision-making.

This challenge started as a personal one. Jordee floated the “slightly mad” idea as something big to aim for in 2026. Lauren has always wanted to complete the 3 Peaks as a keen hill walker. Sam saw it as the perfect excuse to get back into fitness while having a laugh with the girls. And Danya… well, this one is for her grandad.

The date we’re doing this — 25th June — is exactly one year to the day since he passed away.

Macmillan were a huge support to him and his family, and to Danya. So while charity wasn’t the original driving force behind this challenge, we quickly realised that if we were going to put ourselves through this, we could do something genuinely meaningful alongside it.

Macmillan do incredible work for people and families facing cancer, and this feels like the right way to honour Danya’s grandad while taking on something that will push all four of us physically and mentally.

We’re a mixed bunch — different reasons, different personalities, same goal: get up three mountains, survive the car journeys in between, have fun!, and raise as much as we can for a brilliant cause along the way.

If you’re able to donate, we’d be hugely grateful. If not, moral support, and sympathy messages are also very welcome.

Thank you for supporting us (and Macmillan).
