In case you do not know about MASIC.. it stands for Mothers with Anal Sphincter Injuries Charity (The MASIC Foundation). Yes, this charity exists and these injuries happen!

I have worked closely with them for many years now. Being a council member since 2019, and then their youngest Trustee from 2023. I support the charity and do lots of educational material for them as a specialist physiotherapist in these types of injury 🫶🏼

You have absolutely no idea how hard this charity works to support women who have sustained these devastating injuries to their pelvic floor during childbirth, some who’s relationships break down, some unable to return to work, or some unable to return to sports and activities they love 💔

I love MASIC and what they do, and this race is for them 🩷
