Story
On 26 April 2026 Samantha and Ben are running the London Marathon for Hospice UK!
Like many of you know, we lost our dad in January 2025 after his long fight with a brain tumour. He was cared for so amazingly by our local hospice, firstly at home by the outpatient nurses and then, for the final few months in the hospice where he passed away in peace and with dignity. We were so fortunate to have this facility close to us.
Hospice care eases the pain of death and dying, letting people focus on living, right until the end. Because of underfunding, too many miss out on this essential care. Hospice UK fights for hospice care for all who need it, now and forever.
As the national champion for hospices, Hospice UK supports over 200 hospices across the UK, helping them deliver the best, most personalised care to 310,000 people each year. But hospices are underfunded and under immense pressure.
We know our dad would be so proud of us and your support can make all the difference. Donate to our page and join us in promoting and protecting hospice care for all.
