Story
I’m going on CoppaTrek! – Jurassic Coast 🥾💙
From 6th to 12th June 2026, I’ll be joining Giovanna Fletcher to take on a 100km walk, raising as much money as possible for CoppaFeel! - a charity that is incredibly close to my heart.
Anyone can be affected by breast cancer, yet a quarter of young people don’t realise they’re at risk.
I was one of them.
In August 2019, I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 31. I had a two-and-a-half-year-old daughter and a son who had just turned one. I had no family history, and at 31, breast cancer simply wasn’t on my radar.
I wasn’t great at self-checking, but after a school friend was diagnosed, I began checking my chest. I noticed a small lump and went to the GP, fully expecting to be told it was nothing. Within weeks, my whole world had been turned upside down.
I started six months of chemotherapy in September 2019 and once I was strong enough, I had surgery, which was just before the first lockdown in March 2020, followed by four weeks of radiotherapy in June 2020.
If it hadn’t been for early detection, my story could have been very different. That’s why CoppaFeel! means so much to me.
I would be so grateful if you’re able to support my fundraising journey and help me reach my target. Every donation and every share not only helps CoppaFeel! continue their incredible work, but also helps spread the word to remind everyone that whatever your age, whatever your gender, it is so important to check your chest.
Donate, share, and help spread a life-saving message 💙
Thank you x
