Cala is proudly supporting Samaritans, to ensure that everyone has somewhere to turn when they are struggling to cope.

Story

As part of the CALA Graduate Programme and in collaboration with the Samaritans, the 2022 Cohort of Graduates have been tasked with raising both awareness of the Samaritans and £2,500 to help fund the vital work they do. In industries like Construction, men are 3 times more likely to take their own life than the national average for men. Charities such as Samaritans are working to provide support for people suffering with their mental health, however, they rely on our donations. £5 could help the Samaritans answer a call that could save a lift. £24 could help train a volunteer to answer these vital calls, making sure people do not struggle alone.

As Graduates, we aim to raise this money both through regional bake sales and fundraisers as well as through our 'Socks for Samaritans' Campaign, in which we're selling funky socks to hopefully encourage employees to not put a sock in it, whilst raising some great money for a great cause!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
