Walking up Snowdon

Every two hours, someone in the UK will become paralysed. Globally, it is estimated that 15.4 million people are living with paralysis. At Spinal Research our vision is to create a world where paralysis can be cured, no matter when the injury occurred or where in the world.

Story

“In March this year, my life changed in an instant. A motorbike accident left me paralyzed from the waist down, with 7 breaks in my spine and a shattered elbow. The hardest part wasn’t the pain - it was being told, ‘You may never walk again.’

But one day, I saw the tiniest wiggle in my toe - and that tiny movement became a spark of hope.

I held onto it with everything I had. From that moment on, I set goal after goal… and step by step, I did what they said I couldn’t.

Now, my next goal is to climb Snowdon.

As someone learning to walk again, this is going to be one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. But I’m doing it not just for me - I’m doing it for everyone affected by spinal injuries.

I’m dedicating this climb to Spinal Research, a charity that gives people like me hope for a better future.

If you can, please spare a pound and support this incredible cause. Your donation could help change lives! just like mine.
