Story
On the 30th of May, I will be taking part in a new adventure where I will be climbing up to the mouth of Baron, one of the Kelpies. This climb, which is 25 meters high, will involve ladders, cable crossings, and suspended platforms. Now, while this might sound like the easy part, the real challenge for me will be coming down – either by abseiling or a free fall experience (I'll be harnessed).
This adventure is a personal challenge for me, especially since I'm not particularly fond of heights. However, my love for the Kelpies has inspired me to take this leap of faith (quite literally!). Moreover, this climb is not just about conquering my fears; it's also about supporting a great cause. Age Scotland is a charity partner for Network Rail, and all donations raised from this event will be going towards their amazing work.
I would greatly appreciate your support, whether it's words of encouragement or a donation to Age Scotland. Together, we can make a difference and contribute to a worthy cause.
Age Scotland work to improve the lives of people over the age of 50 in Scotland. They provide a free helpline, support older people’s groups, promote age and dementia-friendly communities, deliver wellbeing programmes, and campaign on behalf of older people.
