10/03/23 - *45 seconds that changed their world forever*
🇸🇾 🇹🇷
Asalaamu Alaykum. As you are aware on 01 March 2023, team STC took a deployment to Turkiye in aid of the earthquake survivors. Whilst we faced many challenges, the trip was immensely rewarding and a huge success. Through your donations we fed, clothed, provided basic essentials and supported thousands of people living in dire and destitute conditions. Whilst words cannot explain the true extent of what we witnessed on the ground, thank you to everyone that donated. The road to rebuilding lives has only just started, we will continue to support them and we humbly request you continue to support STC in this cause! Thank you!

A series of devastating earthquakes have hit southern Turkey and north-west Syria killing over 41,000 people and injuring many more.
The first deadly earthquake struck while people were inside their homes, asleep in their beds, with no warning signs. Thousands of buildings, including hospitals and schools, have collapsed and infrastructure has been badly damaged. Local responders are desperately searching through the rubble for survivors.
Monday 20/02/23 - Further Earthquakes hit Hatay, Turkey with a 6.4 and 5.8 magnitude, with aftershocks /tremours expected. Or quite posibly further earthquakes.
Monday 27/02/23 - Another earthquake hits Malatya, results of the 5.6 earthquake.
*Death of one citizen *110 injured * Destruction of 29 buildings *Rescue of 32 people
People have been left without shelter in freezing winter conditions and desperately need blankets, emergency shelter, food and clean water.
Our Intervention;
Our team are due to be travelling to the Hatay province in Turkey on Tues 28 Feb 2023 to deliver vital aid to the earthquake survivors in Antakya. Food Aid, Winter clothing and Shelter material.
All travel costs, will be self funded and the Charity operate a 100% donation policy, therefore EVERY penny donated will go towards the delivery of vital aid.
This will be my 5th trip to the region over the last 7 years. On previous visits to region and surrounding areas, I have visited a number of camps, some seriously isolated areas and have seen first hand how they live and survive, and I cannot emphasise on the how much your donations make a difference to the lives of those in need; providing food, shelter, clothing.
I kindly request your support, you can help people affeced by the crisis by making a donation and helping to raise money for those in need. No matter how big or small your donation, it all makes a difference. (6079).
