Sam's fundraiser for Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary

Sam Hazlett is raising money for Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary

London Marathon 2026 · 26 April 2026 ·

Our mission is to provide shelter from harm and a brighter future for unwanted, abandoned and often mistreated cats and dogs. We take in and care for hundreds of unwanted cats & dogs every year and wholly rely on the generosity of our supporters to keep our kennel & cattery doors open.

Story

This year , I’m training and taking on the biggest challenge of my life: running the London Marathon 2026. To say this is outside my comfort zone would be a massive understatement, I am not a runner at all so it’s going to be interesting and entertaining at times!

I’m running to raise money for Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary, a local rescue in Bristol that gives abandoned and unwanted cats and dogs a second chance at life. The team works tirelessly to provide shelter, food, veterinary care, training, and rehabilitation — as well as the love and support these animals desperately need when they have nowhere else to turn.

Their work is funded entirely by donations, which is why I want to help.

I was lucky enough to get a place in the London Marathon through the ballot and I knew straight away I wanted to make every step count by supporting a charity with great cause.

If you can, please consider sponsoring me. Every donation will help feed, shelter, and care for the cats and dogs at Holly Hedge until they find their forever homes. 🐾
