Swim round the Cook Strait and the Isle of Wight · 19 July 2026

We’re here for the cure. Cure Parkinson’s is working with urgency to find new treatments to slow, stop and reverse Parkinson’s.

Story

In July 2026, we are taking part in the challenge of swimming around the Isle of Wight (71 miles in total). The relay team comprises great swimming friends Sami, Stu, Alan, Pete and Nick with the aim to raise funds for Cure Parkinson's. We'll be supported by John Caulcutt a great friend and experienced pilot who is an islander.

John was diagnosed with Parkinson's a while back and we wanted to help support the research towards finding a cure by raising money for MND research. Any donation you make will support this cause and mean the world to me, John and everyone else who is suffering from this disease.

Cure Parkinson's are here for the cure. Cure Parkinson’s is working with urgency to find new treatments to slow, stop and reverse Parkinson’s.Their funding and innovation has redefined the field of Parkinson’s research, enabling the world’s leading researchers to prioritise the next generation of drugs for clinical trial. Together we will conquer Parkinson’s.
