Story

In Loving Memory of Salman – 10,000 Steps a Day for the British Heart Foundation

This June, I’m taking on the challenge of walking 10,000 steps every single day to raise money for the British Heart Foundation — a cause that is incredibly close to my heart. The BHF plays a vital role in supporting the NHS by funding life-saving research, providing essential equipment like defibrillators, training healthcare professionals, and helping improve treatment and care for heart patients across the UK.

In 2011, my dad suffered a heart attack, and thanks to the incredible care of the NHS, he pulled through. Sadly, in October 2024, my beloved brother Salman passed away at the age of 33 due to a heart attack while he was in Germany. We truly believe that had he been in the UK, the outcome might have been different. Unfortunately, the laws and systems there didn’t give him the chance he deserved.

Salman was a kind, generous soul who dedicated much of his life to charity work. He ran marathons, fundraised, and gave back in so many ways. I want to honour his memory and carry on his legacy by helping others, just like he always did.

Please support me in raising as much as possible for the British Heart Foundation. Every step I take this June is for my beautiful brother Salman, and for everyone affected by heart disease.

Thank you so much for your support.
