On Sunday 26th April 2026 an incredible team of 37 runners will be taking on the London Marathon in Sammy Jo's memory.

We're so proud of our runners:

Our Story

Sammy Jo lost her battle with Triple Negative Breast Cancer on 14th May 2018, at the age of 29. She always dreamed of having children and was deeply saddened by the thought of kids enduring the same treatments she did. Before she passed, Sammy Jo made one final wish: that any money raised at her funeral would go to Children with Cancer UK.

We raised £6,485 at her funeral, and soon after, The Sammy Jo Brandon Foundation was officially born on her 30th Birthday 8th August 2018.

Thanks to the hard work of her family and friends, and the generosity of our supporters, we have raised over half a million pounds in her memory so far.

Here's a look at what we've accomplished together:

* 8th August 2019: We presented Children with Cancer UK with a cheque for £88,088.88.

* 8th August 2020: Despite COVID-19, we still managed to donate £44,088.88.

* 8th August 2021: We handed over £16,088.88 to Children with Cancer UK.

* 8th August 2022: We raised an incredible £81,088.88 for Children With Cancer UK, plus an additional £3,000 for Cancer Research Race for Life and £2,500 in Centre Parcs vouchers for a young boy named Niko battling Leukemia - who is now in remission

* 8th August 2023: We raised £84,888.88 for Children with Cancer UK and £3,000 for Cancer Research Race for Life.

* 8th August 2024: We handed over a cheque for £92,088.88 to Children With Cancer UK and also gave £1,350 to Cancer Research Race for Life.

* 8th August 2025: We handed over a cheque for £130,088.88 (includes £35,052.99 Gift Aid)

Since 14th May 2018, we have donated to Children With Cancer UK £542,907.16 (includes £35,052.99 Gift Aid) plus £7,350.00 Cancer Research and £2,500.00 Niko - Totaling £552,757.16

We have succeeded reaching half a million pounds by Sammy Jo's 37th birthday, which we are so proud of
