This year, I’m taking on the challenge of running the New York City Marathon for the first time!  It’s a daunting task, but I’m undertaking the effort in honor of our US military veterans and their families as a member of the United Way of Long Island’s Team Mission United.

My goal is not only to finish strong, but to raise at least $3,500 to this worthy cause. I am passionate about supporting the United Way’s veterans’ programs, which provide career training, employment assistance and emergency financial aid to those veterans in need because I believe in the power of community and the importance of helping those who have bravely served our country.

By contributing to my fundraiser, you’ll help provide essential resources to our local veterans and their families and support United Way’s mission to build a better future for everyone. No amount is too small, as every dollar counts toward our effort to enhance the lives of the 80,000+ veterans on LI.
