Every Inch for Frankie 💙

On the 8th November 2025, our son, Francis, was born prematurely and sleeping. Although Frankie never got the chance to experience the world as we had dreamed, he has left a lifetime of love in our hearts.

No parent ever imagines having to say goodbye before they've even had the chance to say hello.

During one of the darkest moments of our lives, the staff at Pilgrim Hospital's Neonatal Unit showed us an incredible amount of love, kindness and compassion. Their care and support meant more to us than words could ever express.

We wish to honour our beautiful boy, Francis — or Frankie B, as we would have affectionately called him — by giving something back to the unit that cared for him and supported us when we needed it most.

My hope is to raise £2,000 towards necessities for the ward, and the purchase of another cold cot, a specially designed cot that allows families to spend precious extra time with their babies before having to say their final goodbyes.

That time is something no amount of money can ever replace, and we hope that, through this fundraiser, we can help give other families those invaluable moments together.

This challenge is my way of honouring our little boy, keeping his memory alive and turning our heartbreak into something positive that can help other families.

Why a Leopard Crawl?

1.3 miles might not sound far when you're walking or running, but crawling every single inch on my stomach will be a completely different challenge.

It's going to be physically demanding, uncomfortable and exhausting. But every inch will have a purpose.

Every inch for Frankie.
