In memory of Daisy Catterall

Tough Mudder · 15 August 2026

We’re the official charity of University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) supporting patients, staff and research above and beyond what the NHS can provide. Together we can do more!

Story

On 22/2/2025 at 10am, Our very own Angel , Daisy May Catterall - "Dazzler" , was quickly taken from us when she developed HLH (Hemophagocytic lymph histiocytosis) following a routine infection.

We had never even heard of this rare, horribly aggressive disease which unfortunately had fatal consequences for our beloved daughter.

Being just 25 years of age and a loving daughter, granddaughter, sister and partner, our Family & Friends are all heartbroken.

The Team at University College London Hospitals are World Leaders into the research of the causes & treatment of HLH. We have personally visited UCLH & met this amazing Team and can guarantee that 100% of the money raised will go directly into funding the research into HLH. This will potentially help any future patients that find themselves in Daisy’s position.

Therefore myself & 51 other members of family & friends are tackling the South West ‘Tough Mudder’ course in Badminton (Glos) on 15th August 2026.

For those of you that know me well, this is notably outside of my comfort zone. ‘Tough’ and ‘Mud’ are not words synonymous with my happiness !

We hope that by taking a positive approach and throwing ourselves into this challenge & fundraising, this will give me & my family some sort of comfort moving forward.

Any donations are greatly appreciated and no matter how big or small , they will make a monumental impact.

Do It For Daisy ! Xx
