Samuel Darke is raising money for Footprints Baby Loss Twin & Triplet Support
In memory of Charlie and Joshua

London Marathon 2026 · 26 April 2026 · Start fundraising for this event

Footprints provides vital support to parents and families who experience the death of one or more of their twins or triplets before, during or after birth. Our support is provided by those who have had first hand experience of twin or triplet loss through a kind, caring and inclusive service.

Story

I am running the London Marathon in memory of my twin brothers, Charlie and Joshua. They were born prematurely and died shortly afterwards. As a family we always remember Charlie and Joshua, celebrating their birthdays and keeping their memories alive.

This is the first time I will be fundraising in their memory and I hope to raise lots of money for Footprints! It is also a charity close to my heart as my mum is the co-founder.

It will be a personal challenge for me as I haven't run this distance before and I also have the challenge of coping with the unpredictability of type 1 diabetes during the marathon! I am prepared for the long training journey ahead and know it will be hard work since it is the biggest challenge I will have faced since tearing my ACL in April 2024.

Any donations, no matter how big or small will be greatly appreciated :)
