Christmas Lunch on Jesus Derby and Calcutta.

This year, we will once again be providing Christmas lunch to families and individuals on a low income who would otherwise be unable to afford a Christmas meal. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, we will be unable to do this in the usual way, so, as we did last year, will hand deliver Christmas Cards that include a supermarket voucher so that recipients can buy ingredients for Christmas lunch.

To celebrate our link between Derby and Calcutta Cathedral and City Churches, were also partnering with friends there to provide Christmas boxes for some of the poorest people in Calcuttas slums, containing rice, lentils, dhal, biscuits, sweets; a Christmas feast for those who live in poverty on a daily basis. We will also be including a Christmas candle and a New Testament.
