Story
Friends,
Thanks for visiting my fundraiser page. I'm lacing up the running shoes and hitting the pavement to raise awareness and support for Sands charity, for those that don't know it's a charity that provides invaluable support, and help to those affected by the loss of a baby.
Until recently, I'd never really run, and I can't say I was a fan of the idea of it either. You learn to love it. This marathon isn't just about covering a few miles, it's about our efforts collectively and our support to our Friend James and their family who've experienced so much pain. Together we want to honor the memory of the little one.....
Immie Rae was born in June 2023.
After a generally healthy pregnancy with Immie, my wife suffered a placental abruption at 37+5 weeks.
Immie was born by emergency C-section on 6th June and sadly died just 6 hours later due to Hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) - a lack of oxygen to the brain, unfortunately, caused by the placental abruption.
This page has been set up to support the FANTASTIC efforts of Sands - and along with 3 friends, James, Jay, and Ben. We'll all be trying to raise as much awareness as possible.
Of course, I appreciate the tough times. Donate as little, or as much as possible.
Love you all, and wish us luck.
