Story
On July 12th, I’ll be taking on the tough challenge of running a 50K ultramarathon as part of the Race to the Stones event in Oxfordshire. But this race means more to me than just crossing a finish line. It’s a way for me to give back and raise awareness for something that’s had a huge impact on my life and my family’s journey.
My wife and I recently received the life-changing news that we are expecting our first child, thanks to IVF. As you can imagine, this has been an emotional and long-awaited moment for us. Through this experience, we’ve learned how many couples struggle with fertility challenges, and how vital the support of organizations like the Fertility Foundation is in helping people navigate this journey.
That’s why I am raising money for The Fertility Foundation, a charity that provides financial support and resources for couples struggling with infertility. Their mission is to ensure that people who need fertility treatment don’t have to face the journey alone. They offer grants for IVF treatments, provide guidance and emotional support, and raise awareness about the challenges faced by individuals and couples battling infertility. They also work to make fertility treatment more accessible, which is critical for many people who may otherwise be unable to afford it. Over 1 in 7 couples in the UK face fertility issues, and the emotional, physical, and financial toll can be overwhelming. The Fertility Foundation plays a crucial role in making fertility treatment more equitable and accessible, and I want to help ensure they can continue their vital work.
I would be incredibly grateful for any support you can offer – whether that’s through a donation, sharing my fundraising page, or simply spreading the word about this amazing cause.
