Update: Samuel ha completed the challenge on the 7th August in 7 hours 30, we reversed the Kayak leg due to win conditons this resulted in the Bikes being a mile further down the road meaning a 2 mile ride. We set of at 8am and kayaked, cycled and summited in 4hours 15 mins in 40 mph winds, a slow walk down and a days rest then Samuel was back out climbing more mountains.

My name is Samuel, I am a Beaver at Stonesfield Scouts. I am raising Money to help finish the building of our new scout hut. Our old hut was built in 1946 and used as military housing before being moved to our village and used as a scout hut for the last 60 years.

The old hut became to smelly, damp and unsafe for us and future scouts to use. We have not had a hut now for 2 years. The adults have raised a lot of money to build the outside of the hut but we have now runout of funds and still need to complete the inside. We need to raise £44000 to pay for everything inside including Electrics, water, heating and toilets.

I want to do my challenge to help with the money to finish our hut.

My challenge is a triathlon in Snowdonia. I will Kayak 1 Mile, Cycle 1 Mile and Walk 10 Miles up and down Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa). I will have just turned 8 when I do my challenge.

I have walked up Snowdon a few times now and climbed over 30 Mountains in England and Wales but have not been cycling in Snowdonia and only started Kayaking in June (don’t worry my Dad will be by my side the whole time, but please sponsor me and not him)

My Challenge starts at my favourite campsite. I will Kayak from one end of Llyn Gwynant to the other then cycle to the bottom of the Watkin Path, where I will start my climb 5 miles up with 1015 meters or ascent and 5 miles down. I want to complete this in 12 hours and will keep you updated on my progress.
