Story
I’m running the London Marathon 2026 for Refuge – an incredible charity that supports women and children affected by domestic abuse.
This is a huge personal challenge. I’m not exactly known for my fitness(!), but I wanted to push myself – mentally and physically – to do something meaningful.
Refuge provides life-saving services, including emergency accommodation, a 24/7 helpline, emotional support, and specialist advocacy, to help women and children escape abuse and rebuild their lives.
I’m lucky to know so many strong, kind and inspiring women – my friends, my family, and through work. The difficult reality is that, behind closed doors, 1 in 4 women will experience domestic abuse in her lifetime. And, on average, 2 women are killed every week by a current or former partner in England and Wales.
Running this marathon is my way of showing support and raising funds for those who need it most. If you are able to donate – whether it’s £5 or £50 – I would be so grateful for your support.
Please wish me luck, and thank you again!
