We are reaching out with some heartbreaking news about one of our staff members, Gaelle, and her two daughters, who are former pupils of Sandcross.

Many of you will know that they have already endured immense hardship, having lost Gaelle’s husband and the girls’ father just last year. Tragically, this weekend, their home was destroyed by a fire. While we are incredibly grateful that Gaelle and her daughters are safe, they have lost nearly everything—their home, their belongings, and their sense of security.

Gaelle has shown remarkable strength through all she has faced, but no one should have to go through so much alone. As a school community, we want to come together to support her in any way we can—whether through financial contributions, practical assistance, or simply reminding her that she is not alone.
