40 Seconds of Freedom for Seashells!
To celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary, my wonderful husband decided on a very “unforgettable” gift… "40 seconds of Freedom!"
On 11th October, I’ll be flying up to 12,000 feet and then leaping out of a perfectly good aeroplane (parachute definitely included, I hope! 😉) and then freefall for 40 seconds before my (hopefully, perfectly packed) parachute opens!!
I absolutely CAN’T WAIT for this once-in-a-lifetime experience – and I’m making it even more meaningful by raising funds for Seashells Children and Families Centre in Sheerness, who do amazing work supporting local children and families.
Based on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent, Seashells lost vital funding from Kent County Council earlier in the year and since then have worked tirelessly to ensure they can still provide the much needed support and services to local children and families.
At a recent Family Funday, they had over 1300 children and family members attend - which evidences how vital and important their work is.
Providing support, care and guidance, from ante-natal, and post-natal classes, breastfeeding, toddler groups, aquatots, parenting classes, activities for teens, first aid training - the list goes on and on! And so... that's why I feel it's so important to help them as much as I can!
Every donation, big or small, really will make a huge difference to them.
Please support me if you can – together we can make this jump count for Seashells! Thank you so much xx
