Strength & Performance Gym is Paddling for Oliver's Dragons!

On Saturday 12th September 2026, the S&P gym community is trading the weights for water! Our coaches and members are teaming up to race a massive 40-foot Chinese dragon boat at the Manchester Dragon Boat Festival at Sale Water Park.

We are a gym built on community and testing our limits. But on race day, every single stroke we take will be for an incredible local cause: Oliver’s Dragons.

Why We Are Racing

Oliver's Dragons was set up in memory of Oliver Buchanan, an amazing 11-year-old boy who sadly passed away from a brain tumour in 2023. This brilliant charity works on a "kids helping kids" ethos to bring joy to children in our local area. Just as importantly, they step in to provide direct financial and emotional support to families whose children are actively going through cancer treatment.
