Story
Lee and Teesside Hospice
I am the Mum of one of Lee and Jen's many friends. Lee was an amazing husband, family man and friend. In 2023 he received a cancer diagnosis which shocked the family to the core. He was unbelievably brave and determined in his battle and had lots of treatment and hospital admissions. Sadly, his health deteriorated and the family were able to move him to Teesside Hospice for care. The different approach that doctors and nurses took was overwhelming and was focused very much on what Lee wanted, even his fish tank! Teesside Hospice gave Lee and his family, in the last weeks of his life, wonderful care and compassion.
My brother, Ron, also spent time in Teesside Hospice during his battle with Cancer. Another example of the incredible, caring environment that the staff provide. It is for all these reasons that I am taking part in the great North Run, to raise funds for Teesside Hospice, once again. It takes place on 7th September. Two days after my 76th birthday!
Thank you for any contribution you are able to make to this worthy cause.
