On 13 July 2025, I will be supporting my lovely friend Natalie by taking part (with her) in the Saucony London 10k run to raise money for MS-UK! Her husband, and my friend, Ashley received the diagnosis of Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis in March so I feel passionate about doing anything I can to support them both!

This is their story:

Back in late 2023 Ashley began experiencing “attacks” which at times were quite frightening. We had no idea what was going on. The feelings he went through ranged from chest pain, to numbness down the side of the face and jaw, to tremors, sharp pains in the head, pins and needles, to name a few.

Over the last 15 months he’s had many tests, many waits and many times of being brushed off and told it was all ‘anxiety and panic attacks’. Brain MRI results have since shown multiple lesions and following a lumbar puncture he finally received his diagnosis. He is now awaiting next steps on medication and potential treatments.

Both Ashley and Natalie have been so strong over this year long journey, and I couldn't be more proud of them and having them both in my life. Doing this run together with Natalie is just a small token to show my support and also to help a charity that they and many others rely upon.
