Story

Hi everyone,

I’m excited (and a wee bit nervous!) to share that I’ll be taking part in a Strictly Come Dancing charity event on Saturday, 7th June at the Doubletree by Hilton Glasgow. The event is called Step Up for Charity, where each contestant dances with a professional dancer - Strictly style - to raise money for a charity close to their heart.

For me, the choice of charity was easy. I’m dancing in memory of our beloved Mum, who spent her final days at St Andrew’s Hospice in Airdrie. The care she received at the Hospice was nothing short of incredible — compassionate, dignified, and full of kindness. I’ll never forget how the wonderful staff there supported not only Mum, but our entire family through such a difficult time.

St Andrew’s Hospice continues to provide that same extraordinary care to so many others. But they rely heavily on fundraising to keep their doors open to those in need. That’s why I’ve set myself a goal to raise £3,000 to give something back to this amazing place.

If you’re able to donate, no matter how big or small, it would mean the world to me. Every penny will go towards helping other families receive the same comfort and support that we did. You can find my fundraising page here: [Insert JustGiving link].

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and support. And wish me luck on the dance floor!

Sandy x
