The past 18 months have seen the terrible loss of three people in my world who were taken far too soon by cancer.

Having been lucky enough to reach my sixtieth year I would like to try and raise some money with Joe, Noke and Martin in mind.

My charity of choice is Luke’s Life Legacy. Please, please take time to read the link. I never had the pleasure of meeting Luke who was taken at just four years old with a brain cancer. I do however have the pleasure of knowing Lukes lovely family. Dad Marty, Mam Fiona and Luke’s older brother Matthew.

The charity itself raises money for accommodation for families of children with brain tumours travelling to hospitals in Northumberland or the Tyne and Wear Foundation trust from outside the area.

Helps provide respite/ holidays for families of such children.

Provides funding for the development of research into the practical applications for prevention, treatment and cure of children’s brain cancer.
