This October, I’m walking 60 kilometres to raise awareness and funds for Annabelle’s Challenge, the UK charity supporting those affected by Vascular Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (VEDS) — a rare and life-threatening genetic condition.

This cause is now very close to my heart, as my granddaughter has recently been diagnosed with VEDS. It’s been a lot to take in, but we’re learning more each day, and we’re incredibly grateful for the support and information Annabelle’s Challenge provides.

Their work is vital — not just in supporting families like ours, but also in raising awareness among healthcare professionals and the wider public. Every step I take this month is for my granddaughter, and for everyone living with VEDS.
