Urban Promise is a charity recently set up by my good friends Luke and Kelly Maxted to help children in Marks Gate, Dagenham. As I'm too far away to help them practically I really want to be able to help them raise money for their summer activities. So please support me in my attempt to cycle (on my turbo and the road!) for 300 miles during April! This summer we are inviting you to join us in providing a safe and exciting place for children to be in Marks Gate. We will be offering food, crafts, games, and a whole lot of fun for free as we seek to serve our community.

During the Spring term we have successfully built an after school club that children love and enjoy. We've served hundreds of healthy meals, supported learning and development, provided outstanding role models, and been a safe, reliable space for the children of Marks Gate.

With the Summer rolling round we want to offer 2 weeks of free activities for local children as well as some fantastic development opportunities for our teenage Student Leaders.
