Story
This year me and Dan have decided to take part in the Great North Run through MS Society.
We have chosen this charity because Dans Mam has been diagnosed with MS and it's made it very difficult in many ways for her to do her normal everyday activities. This charity has helped many people who have been diagnosed with this. It has also helped with educating others with what MS really is and how it can affect someone's every day life.
Multiple Sclerosis is a chronic, often disabling autoimmune disease of the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord) where the immune system mistakenly attacks the protective myelin sheath surrounding nerve fibres. This damage disrupts nerve signals, leading to varied symptoms like vision loss, pain, fatigue, and mobility issues. It's usually diagnosed in people aged 20–40, with a higher prevalence in women. It would mean a lot if you were could donate to this charity and help us reach our target to spread awareness of MS.
Thank you,
Dan and Sandra
