Mike Theo's Memory Walk

Mike Theo's Memory Walk · 17 August 2024
Husband to Sharon, father of 5 and a great friend to many.
I first met Mike over 35 years ago both as members of Porthcawl RFC. A number of years later Mike decided to become a member of the committee where he proved as he did in every aspect of his life that he was a truthful, honest and an extremely likeable character.
Over the many years that followed Mike and myself became very close friends and to say I miss his infectious personality is a huge understatement. Mike’s attitude to life was always clear to see with the smile he wore and the glass of beer he “occasionally” drank. Mike would regularly offer his opinion on a wide variety of topics often delivering tongue in cheek comments just to sit back and chuckle at the reactions they would provoke. I know for certain everyone who spent time with Mike misses his light hearted conversation and humour especially the Saturday afternoon crowd at the pub.
Several years ago following his honeymoon with Sharon Mike was diagnosed with cancer, he bravely fought and beat the cancer only for it to tragically return a few years later. Unfortunately for all who new Mike he finally lost his second battle with this awful disease that affects so many and passed away on 7th September 2023.
Mike’s wife Sharon has received so much support from friends and family since his passing and now feels she would like to raise money for one of the amazing charities that have also been able to help along the way. Please sign up for Mike’s Memory Walk (or any part of the walk) if able, or donate whatever you can however small to help Sharon raise her goal of £3,000.00 for Sandville Self Help Foundation. I am sure after the walk we will all have a few beers to remember Mike and no doubt as Mike would ALWAYS do “Have one for the road”
