Lytchett Minster School Sandwalk · 28 June 2024

No parent expects to live longer than their child, but for many of the families we support, this is a reality. Julia's House, the Dorset & Wiltshire Children's Hospice charity provides frequent respite care for children and support for their families at home, in the community and at our hospice.

Story

Every year Lytchett Minster school completes an annual walk for charity. Years 7-10 and 13 walk from Shore road all the way to Bournemouth pier and back, this is approximately 10km. Students have voted that the charity we will support this year will be Julia's house.

Julia’s House provides frequent, flexible care for children with life-limited or life-threatening conditions to give their parents a much-needed break.

Amazingly, Julia’s House has to raise 93 per cent of the money it needs each year to run this vital service which is why we have chosen to support them. Your kind sponsorship will make a life-changing difference to these families.
