Story
We are taking part in the Birmingham Shine Night Walk because two of our colleagues are currently going through breast cancer treatment.
As a team, they are always in our thoughts, and this felt like a meaningful way to turn those thoughts into something positive by raising money for research that genuinely makes a difference.
As school nurses, we know how precious good health is and how much illness can affect not just one person, but everyone around them too. Breast cancer impacts so many families and communities, and our team has seen first hand how difficult that journey can be.
We wanted to do more than simply stand by. We wanted to come together to support our colleagues, show support for everyone affected by breast cancer, and help raise money for the research that gives people hope for the future.
Every pound raised will go to Cancer Research UK to support life saving breast cancer research.
If you are able to donate, no matter how much, thank you. Your support means a great deal to all of us and to the people we are walking for.
