Story
In 2025 we completed a gruelling 6 days sailing voyage, with 9 of our inspirational service users in recovery from psychosis, and 3 ambitious mental health nurses. 253 nautical miles, tackling seasickness, storms and sunburn. With lots of stories shared, laughs had, and cups of tea split.
In 2027... we want to do it again! Psychosis can be a debilitating experience with far reaching implications for the individual and their family. It can affect all aspects of life: education and employment, relationships and social functioning, physical and mental wellbeing.
To raise some money towards this experience, the Sandwell Couch Potatoes are climbing Snowdonia on 17th October 2026 ... and we've roped in some of our nearest and dearest as well. Some of us are MUCH more athletic than the others, so watch out for Mountain Rescue news for the rest of us.
