We’re Sandy and James and we’ve had the brilliant and flawless idea to hike 2650 miles through desert, forest and mountains all the way from Mexico to Canada. What could go wrong? We’re doing this along the Pacific Crest Trail, which goes through multiple US National Parks in California, Oregon and Washington. We’ll be hiking, camping and fighting off bears for 5 months straight. We’re kicking off on the 22nd of April, at the southern terminus near Campo, California, where we’ll begin trudging our way up the country.

Whilst doing so we’re hoping to raise money for Firefly international, a small Scottish charity raising money to support children affected by war. No child deserves to have friends, family or their future stripped away by conflict and Firefly aims to restore some of that by providing education, mental health support and peace building initiatives to Palestinian refugee children in Cairo as well as Syrian and Bosnian children. In a world with ever growing states of conflict we hope to do our bit to help children have a chance at a normal life and a future.
