Janneke's fundraiser for MELVILLE-KNOX CHRISTIAN SCHOOL GLASGOW

Janneke Fraser is raising money for MELVILLE-KNOX CHRISTIAN SCHOOL GLASGOW

Long distance cylce from The Netherlands to Glasgow

Melville-Knox Christian School Glasgow is an independent primary school that aims to offer an excellent, Biblically-based education that encompasses all the recommended curriculum areas. The Vision and the Constitution of the School are based on a collection of Reformed confessions. We, as a School, are committed to creating a safe and friendly learning environment where each child will be valued and challenged according to their abilities and skills. We are bound, by our own standards, to the highest degree of integrity and transparency. We are a not for profit organisation and so aim to offer affordable school fees for normal working families. Our school was founded by parents for parents, and so we welcome parental involvement. We view education and schooling as a partnership with parents. We are committed to helping home-schooling families in their efforts to educate their children in Christian values. We seek to accomplish this by offering various part-time options for home-schooling families. Above all, we aim to glorify God and serve Him in all our endeavours.

Story

My dad (75!!) has cycled at least 5 times from the Netherlands to various places in Scotland to raise money for Melville-Knox Christian School. His last cycle was at least 5 years ago, and we all thought this was the end of it. However, he has now decided to come out of retirement specifically to raise money for the building work at Sandyhills, which is the building due to be used by Melville-Knox Christian School for their East end Campus. The building work has been paused several times due to a lack of money and as the need for the new building is great my dad decided to help in his own way. He is cycling from the Netherlands via Newcastle, Berwick-upon-Tweed and Edinburgh to Sandyhills, Glasgow. He is leaving the Netherlands on the 7th of July DV and hopes to arrive in Sandyhills on the 10th July. Please donate generously to make his sposored cycle worthwhile!
