Story
Welcome to my official fundraising page for The Christie Charity! As a Mrs. Galaxy UK finalist for 2024-25, I’m excited to organise a series of fundraising events to support this incredible cause. Join me on this journey as we raise funds and awareness to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those facing cancer.
Event 1: Manchester to Blackpool Ride
This cycle ride is not just a personal challenge but a heartfelt tribute to my Appuppa (grandpa), Mr. Nayar, who we lost to cancer.
Events 2 & 3: Naani Candy
An innovative fundraising initiative where we replace traditional bake sale items with healthy, homemade Indian snacks. This project brings together enthusiastic young minds, aged 15-16, from our local community. Through this initiative, they will gain valuable experience in project management while contributing to a meaningful cause.
Event 4: Unstoppable Me
This is a charity fundraiser party and talk show presented by inspiring women who have shattered mental barriers. Attendees will gain practical tips and techniques for building self-confidence, embracing their bodies, and loving themselves as they are. The event provides a comprehensive approach to fostering a positive self-image and developing mental resilience.
Event 5: United Against Cancer
This is a fundraising campaign that encouraged people from local communities to donate unwanted but good-condition toys, books, clothes, jewellery, accessories, and home decor items to sell through market stalls, car boot sales, and Facebook Marketplace, raising funds for the Christie charity.
Event 6: Around the World in 60 Minutes!
A fun-filled online quiz night designed to challenge travel enthusiasts on an array of topics, from quirky landmarks and world-famous cultural traditions to bizarre facts about different countries and cities.
Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to a world without cancer. Your support means the world to me and will make a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by this disease.
Thank you for your generosity and support.
Warm regards,
Sangeetha
