London to Paris: 24 Hours of Regret (for a Great Cause)

In July 2026, I’ll be marking the 10-year anniversary of the LP24—a legendary 320km sprint from London to Paris in just 24 hours. Most people celebrate anniversaries with a nice cake; I’ve opted for a cross-continental endurance test that my hamstrings are already filing a grievance over.

As many of you know, my body usually treats exercise like an unwanted organ transplant—it tries to reject it immediately. I am not a cyclist. My goal isn’t so much "winning" as it is "arriving in Paris with most of my original parts still attached." Fortunately, the battery assist on my bike is powerful enough to keep me upright for 20+ hours—or at least jump-start my heart if it decides to go on strike near the French border.

Why am I doing this to myself?

From July 3rd to 5th, I’ll be pushing my physical (and mental) limits to raise £1,000 for PLANETS.

This isn't just about the Lycra-induced trauma. Having cared for patients battling pancreatic, liver, colorectal, gastric, and neuroendocrine cancers, I’ve seen firsthand that they deal with much tougher climbs than I’ll face in Northern France. PLANETS provides the vital care and hope these patients deserve, and I’m riding to make sure they keep getting it.
