Sanjeev Anand Charity Golf Fundraiser 2024

Charity Golf Tourney · 7 September 2024
The Sanjeev Anand Charity Golf Tournament continues to bring friends and family together for an enjoyable event but also to raise funds for Lupus Canada.
In March 2020, we lost a precious member of our group, Yasmin Khan.
To some, she was a mother, a wife, aunt, sister, friend, or acquaintance that everyone admired for her fighting spirit, permanent smile, generosity and ability to bring positivity to everyone she encountered.
Yasmin battled with Lupus for over 10 years and always had a smile on her face as she did. Her passing was a shock to us all as you just assumed she would keep living through another day. We remember her fighting spirit and thank you for your support to this cause.
Lupus is a chronic disease with a variety of symptoms caused by inflammation in one or more parts of the body. It is estimated that it affects over 1:1000 Canadians.
Who gets lupus? Anyone can: women, men, children. Between the ages 15 and 45, eight times more women than men get lupus. In those under 15 and over 45, both sexes are affected equally.
Lupus is not contagious and is not related to AIDS or cancer. It belongs in the family of diseases that includes rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, juvenile diabetes, and scleroderma.
