Santander are proud to be working in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support, and we are so excited to be supporting them through our annual Team Up Challenge, returning for 2023.

This year, the Consumer Services team will be taking on a half marathon distance, to raise funds for Macmillan and people affected by cancer.

On Thursday 15th June 2023, the entire team will be setting off along the Thames Path from Kew to Embankment, to cover the 21km distance. We are aiming to raise the ambitious target of £5000 by taking on this challenge, so any donations would be gratefully received.

One in two people are expected to receive a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime. Macmillan Cancer Support does whatever it takes to support people living with cancer. It aims to provide a wide range of services, including emotional, practical, physical, and financial support for the three million people currently affected by cancer, at every stage of their cancer experience.

What your donation could go towards...

£132 funds a Macmillan support worker for 1 day, helping people living with cancer receive the support they need.

£247 funds a Macmillan nurse for 1 day, helping people living with cancer and their families receive essential medical, practical and emotional support.

£350 funds a Macmillan Grant for 1 person that could help with the extra costs that living with cancer can bring.

£483 funds Macmillan's our Online Community forum for 1 day. In this time, 2,398 people affected by cancer in the UK can give emotional and practical support to each other on anything to do with cancer.

£1,000 funds our welfare rights advisers on our Macmillan Support Line helping people affected by cancer to claim £25,716 in benefits they are entitled to.
