Santander Consumer Finance UK

SCUK Santander Consumer Finance UK is raising money for The Lucy Rayner Foundation
Donations cannot currently be made to this page
The Lucy Rayner Foundation is a Surrey based mental health charity supporting young people and young adults aged 14–39. We provide accessible counselling, support groups, suicide bereavement support, mental health education, school programme and community wellbeing initiatives. Our aim is simple: to make sure no one has to struggle alone. We work to break the stigma around mental health, encourage people to talk openly about how they are feeling, provide early support and ultimately help prevent suicide. Through our work in schools, communities and workplaces, we support individuals, families and professionals to better understand mental health and know where to turn for help.

Story

The Lucy Rayner Foundation are our chosen charity for 2024 & 2025. This page is to be used for all SCUK fundraising. Thank you very much for your donation!

On the 5th of May 2012, Jenny Rayner and her family were tragically faced with the impact of mental illness when their daughter Lucy took her own life at the age of 22.

This life-changing event inspired Jenny and her family to begin campaigning about the mental health challenges faced by many young adults. The family quickly found that the support and help available to recognise and treat young adults with mental health challenges was woefully inadequate and significantly underfunded.

The Lucy Rayner Foundation's Aims and Objectives

* To raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of depression and other mental health issues in young adults

* To facilitate change in the way mental health is perceived by society

* To provide emotional support and education to young adults with mental health issues and their families

* To build emotional resilience in our young adults

* To enable young adults to thrive in our society

* To work alongside other charitable organisations who have the same objectives as our charity.
